Where we are
Twinned with the sleepy village of Toft in South West Cambridgshire UK since 1998 The villagers of Toft are currently in the dark as to the whereabouts of our village. See our map.
World Famous Beard Festival
In 1998 we began our world famous Beard Festival. And it has grown and grown over the years, like the beards themselves.

Other highlights of the year include the celebration of our village hostelry, Tie You Inn, when many dancing virgins ceremoniously tie local residents to the Maypole. Our unique take on pole dancing.

Food is an important part of village life. In the summer, on the day or two when it is not raining and blowing a gale, we enjoy an alfresco sausage sizzle cooked by our wurst chefs.

Our church Andreasheilige is undergoing some changes. So put your hands in your pockets to spend a penny!
There has been some controversy about the spelling of our village name. Let us assure the residents that, like Toft, that there is only one “f” in Eingroβenleggenpullendorf even though some say there is no “f” in eingroβenleggenpullendorf at all.
Tickets for the sumptuous Christmas feast will be available on line later in the year but, quite frankly, you have more chance of getting tickets for Glastonbury.
In November we have a great bonfire and glorious fireworks. Elf and Safety is a priority on these occasions.
